Relax and Renew Yoga

Starting April 21st, 2022 – every Monday
6:00pm – 7:00pm

Unwind from your busy day with a gentle, slow paced yoga class.  Despite the slow pace, all major muscle groups will be challenged to encourage increased strength and flexibility.  Students will be guided through a warmup, slowly building warmth and strength in the body, and on to a cool down with a guided meditation period.  Space, both physically and mentally, will be facilitated to allow students to deepen their personal practice.  Beginners are warmly welcomed and encouraged.  Leave your worries behind.  Feel refreshed and invigorated to conquer the remainder of your week.

Instructor’s Bio:  Helen Hennessy has been an experienced fitness professional for over twenty years.  She is passionate to help clients achieve their fitness and wellness goals.  Both professionally and personally, she is constantly researching the most effective and proven techniques to reach optimal health.  She resides in New Jersey and enjoys reading, the great outdoors and her family.

Join us for a garden experience where you will learn about herbal tea blends.   Using plants you can grow at home, we will discuss teas with wellness benefits including relaxation, mood elevation, digestion and immune support.  Explore the aromas and flavors of medicinal plants and learn about their histories and properties.  At the end of the workshop, you will take home your own handmade herbal blend.

Instructor’s Bio:  Lauren Lembo has been working with plants and fungi for over a decade.  She has completed certificate coursework in herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy through the University of Minnesota’s Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing Integrative Health and Medicine Specialty.  She is the owner of Blue Fox Botanicals www.bluefoxbotanicals.com a local grassroots herbal wellness company.  Lauren is a programs coordinator for the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission and a Registered Professional Archeologist.  She received at MA in Education from Central Michigan University, an MA in Anthropology from Monmouth University and a Certificate in Global Social Archeology from Kyusho University in Japan.

Explore the primary mushroom species found within our region, including medicinal and edible species, and their studied benefits and uses in nutrition and healing.  You will learn about the functions these mushrooms serve within their ecosystem, the types of environments they inhabit and their effects on the human body.  You will also enjoy an introduction to mushroom identification and learn about safe practices and different resources to guide us in the future.
